Ship Build Purpose
Build Description
This build was specifically for killing Thargoid Scouts to speed up increasing combat rank. This wasn’t intended for a lot of technical combat. It was designed to last through 5 Scouts, lock on and press fire. With a Auto Field Maintenance Unit and Decontamination limpets it could last until running out of ammo (assuming you don’t want to synthesis). For a Type 10 is has a bit of distance to it, but did not outfit it with a Fuel Scoop because it stayed the fleet carrier. Or, I could loose the Collector Limpet and may replace with a low rated Fuel Scoop. At least it would get you by. Otherwise, with the Collector Limpets I can collect the left overs of the Scouts.
The Planetary Vehicle Hangar could probably go as that of course is not needed for this purpose, however I personally always like the option to get in the SRV. Without this another slot opens up for more options. I wanted to engineer more the Multi-Cannons, however they worked well enough and wanted to hold onto my resources.
For what it was intended, it does excellent. Has only made me credits, collected materials and gained me combat rank.
Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Turreted AX Multi-cannons make it easy to lock on and press a button.
- Shields strong enough to last each encounter.
- Outfitted with AMFU and Decontamination Limpets to fix up after fights.
- Very effective at killing Scouts.
- Good way to collect Thargoid specific items.
Cons:
- Turns like mother freaking brick – terrible, turrets a must.
- Expensive due to engineering and cost of ship.
- Lacks Fuel Scoop for extended range.
