Build Description

The singular purpose of this build was to have a cargo bus between my carrier and a station. Mainly it was for Tritium refueling but of course could double for cargo runs. It has no shields but the rest of the hull is protected enough. I traded a bit of cargo space for a Guardian Frame Shift Drive Booster to keep jumps down in case my Fleet Carrier has to park too far away from the station. I try not to leave home without it. I went with long range on a few Multi-Cannons since this is a defensive build. The speed of the Cutter is known throughout the galaxy. This way I can compensate for no shields by boosting away to create distance, but can still reach out to my target.

Pros and Cons

Pros:

  1. Very efficient at cargo running
  2. Highly armed.
  3. Hull strength gives enough time for multi-cannons to shred shields.
  4. Pack hounds to be quick on the finish.
  5. Hull is easily repaired on at the station you were heading to anyway.

Cons:

  1. Inherent to the Cutter is bad turning and amazing drift. Hard to steer.
  2. Glorious money sink.
  3. Requires large landing pad, which means it limits where I can haul from.
