Build Description

I built the Alliance Crusader to be the go-to combat ship for PVE content. I am very satisfied on its toughness and still retain its teeth for fighting: You will run out of ammunition before any hull integrity damage takes you out of combat. The SF really adds firepower, and the two modified Guardian Plasma Chargers are amazingly effective.

Pros and Cons

A common complaint about the Alliance Crusader is the m/s speed. However, the ship’s pitch/roll/yaw are exceptional that makes the ship nimble and the reduced top speed has only a negligible impact in ship-to-ship combat. You can turn on a dime without drifting, so holding onto the target in frontal arc against fast moving targets only diminishes their advantage.

A forgettable PRO is the Alliance Crusader has a 65 base AR. This is much higher than the Krait mk2 or the Federal Gunship. The hull and module reinforcement in the loadout are optimal for taking absolute abuse. This ship is tough to the point where it will be combat ready even when the remaining hull % is 36 and below.
