Ship Build Purpose

Build Description

I was looking for a different style of combat and wanted to try the idea of Hit & Run combat where your protection was speed and stealth, this build combines that with a small hard to hit ship that packs a punch. This build is a balance of Weight Speed and Power to give a fast and fun ship.

Standard attack run
1) Pre charge weapons
2) As you approach 1k fire
3) Dodge/boost/silent run
4) Once about 2-3k away drop silent running and repeat

Caustic Missile lock/Shutdown field
1) Point away from enemy
2) Boost

Caustic Damage
1) Quickly tap weapons several times till caustic substance burnt off
2) Use repair limpet if needed

Tips
1) As you enter a hostile area enable silent running to avoid early attacks
2) On attack run dodge in the opposite direction the target is going to give more room for error
3) Don’t over commit to attack runs if its not lining up just go around for another pass
4) Circle the combat area to maintain target lock
5) Each limpet will repair about 30% of the ship
6) Adding a 3H FSD Booster and a 2C Fuel Tank in the empty slots makes traveling easier if you have a station to store them at the destination or near by

Pros and Cons

Pros
Fun and challenging
Very fast 615 (835 boost) up to 627 (851 boost) once you use some limpets
Interdiction is not an issue (submit, silent run and boost away)
Cheap re buy
Packs a punch

Cons
Armour is like wet paper (clip anything and your dead)
Keep a eye on your Fuel
Sensors easily loose target

Materials Required

The following numbers assume the following rolls required to progress:

Grade 1 rolls - 2
Grade 2 rolls - 4
Grade 3 rolls - 5
Grade 4 rolls - 7
Grade 5 rolls - 10

This can vary greatly since rolls are randomized events, which means these are at best estimates to target.

This build either requires no materials, or the source of the information was from EDSY.
