Ship Build Purpose
Build Description
Hi, I’m CMDR iM2D
You can visit my other builds from here: https://im2d-fleet.info/
This is my Type-10, named the Albafortross, it’s strictly a PvE oriented combat ship used in Hazardous Resource Extraction Sites and in some cases can be used strategically in lower-end Conflict Zones. The Albafortross’ main feature is its ability to defend itself and be able to regenerate back broken shields on the go, without having to use the Repair & Reboot option.
In the coriolis link, you can see by turning on the Cargo Hatch, it will shutdown all 8 shield boosters making the shield regeration process rates go from 2:22 to 0:30. And by turning off the Cargo Hatch once the shield regenerates back up, you can hot bank the ship build’s massive Class 8 bank to replenish its shield strength from 17% to around 94% (assuming no damage is taken).
Pros and Cons
Pros:
- compatible with the use of multi-crew or winged instances
- a single class 8 shield cell bank paired with a fast regenerating class 7 bi-weave can regenerate broken shields in 30 seconds and refill loss of shield strength from 17% to 94% in 22 seconds assuming all 4 pips are redirected into the SYS capacitor
- all shield boosters can be powered off by powering on the cargo hatch and therefore allowing for a much quicker shield regeneration process
- no turreted weapons for better power consumption and for greater firepower damage
Cons:
- the sizing profile of the Type-10 makes the ship vulnerable as it is a large target with very sluggish maneuverability
- the god bank will refill shields back to full if the ship is not under direct pressure from absorbing damage from hostiles so always remember to send PIPs into shields
- the ship is no good flying through High Conflict Zones, Threat 6 Pirate Activities or used in PvP combat.
- the ship is manageable in Medium Conflict Zones IF the pilot understands how to fly large combat ships and can pull out its the ship’s highest potential
- FA-off is a requirement when flying this ship
- god bank has the Specialized and Boss Cell engineering modifications on the ship and therefore it is susceptible to getting bank cancelled in a PvP fight
Materials Required
The following numbers assume the following rolls required to progress:
Grade 1 rolls - 2
Grade 2 rolls - 4
Grade 3 rolls - 5
Grade 4 rolls - 7
Grade 5 rolls - 10
This can vary greatly since rolls are randomized events, which means these are at best estimates to target.
