Build Description

Although previously, my build had no defensive capability and got me 2 more LY, I still needed to be able to defend my ship, as if I got interdicted or attacked, there was almost a 100% I was going to lose all of my exploration data, so I added some thermal vent beam lasers and a flow control PA, and with point defense and a shield booster, I felt much more comfortable knowing that if I was ambushed, I had some hope of surviving, and I still get 70 something LY of range, thus the name, and purpose of this build.

Pros and Cons

While this makes a good exploration ship, with is 4A fuel scoop and 5C fuel tank, scooping takes quite often, and if there aren’t materials for a heat sink reload, even this ship starts to reach critical temperature after about 1-1.25 minutes of scooping. this ship also comes at a high cost time wise, as far as grinding goes, this ship takes quite a long time gathering materials for, not to mention countless trips to the Colonia area for various lightweight modifications. However, this is one of the cheaper (credit wise) exploration builds in relation to jump range, clocking in at just under 20,000,000 credits, and just under 1,000,000 for insurance.

Materials Required

The following numbers assume the following rolls required to progress:

Grade 1 rolls - 2
Grade 2 rolls - 4
Grade 3 rolls - 5
Grade 4 rolls - 7
Grade 5 rolls - 10

This can vary greatly since rolls are randomized events, which means these are at best estimates to target.
