Build Description

I’m not a fan of the Anaconda, never was.
It’s capable, sure, but it never felt right to me.

After spending a lot of time in the Asp Explorer, I wanted something that could take the next step without losing the soul of what makes exploration enjoyable. The Krait Phantom stood out.

It’s not built to be the lightest.
It’s built to survive. To explore.

Pros and Cons

This Krait Phantom is packed with everything you could possibly need for a long and uncertain journey into deep space — which makes it both extremely versatile and slightly overweight.

Good Jump Range. 77.48 Ly loaded.
2 AFMUs can repair each other if one breaks.
Repair Limpets to fix hull damage from hard landings.
2 SRVs, if you crash one or get stuck in terrain, you’ll have a spare.
Shield Generator to absorb light impacts.
Plasma Accelerator to poke something if needed, or burn some fuel for your next jump.

It’s heavier than necessary, so you could push for more jump range.
Remove Plasma Accelerator.
Swap to carry only one SRV.
Drop Cargo and Repair Limpets.
Or remove the shield too.
