Ship Build Purpose

Build Description

I wanted a self-sufficient maximum long-distance ship that WASN’T a standard Jump-aconda, or diamondback. Once I saw that it was going to push the 69LY jump range, I knew it had to exist. When you get to the edge of the galaxy, with FSD injections push it over 100LY without dipping into the premium materials like Yttrium.

Pros and Cons

Fly across the galaxy in style with a vehicle hangar, repair limpets and 32T of cargo in a lightly shielded Orca. A long distance capable luxury cruise ship, traveling 69 glorious light years at a time. It’s major con is that it shares the same large landing pad requirements of the Beluga or Anaconda, while feeling like a medium ship. A minor con might be that while the canopy above provides a clean, unobstructed view, it has no below-the-horizon visibility and feels like you’re sitting 40ft in front of the ship’s pivot point when landing.

Materials Required

The following numbers assume the following rolls required to progress:

Grade 1 rolls - 2
Grade 2 rolls - 4
Grade 3 rolls - 5
Grade 4 rolls - 7
Grade 5 rolls - 10

This can vary greatly since rolls are randomized events, which means these are at best estimates to target.
